Rees Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The engineer John Howard Rees was for the Hudson Motor Car Co. operates. In June 1920 he announced plans for his own automobile production. The founding of a company is not recorded for 1920. He only founded the company in May 1921. The seat was in Cleveland , Ohio . Rees has served as President and General Manager, JL Stanton Vice President, SW Moiselle Secretary and MR Slayback Treasurer. In June 1921, a plant was taken over by Halladay Motors Corporation in Attica , Ohio. The production of automobiles began there. The brand name was Rees . Production ended in the same year.

According to residents of Attica, between two and five vehicles were built. This number is wrong because the Ohio registration numbers show six vehicles.

The only model had a self-made four-cylinder engine . It made 20 hp from a displacement of around 2 liters . The chassis had either 274 cm or 284 cm wheelbase , depending on the source . The structure was an open touring car . The original price was 1450 US dollars .
