Media Carriage Works was an American manufacturer of carriages and automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Media , Pennsylvania in 1895 . EL Cunningham, HJ Hipple and WW Johnson ran it. It made carriages. In the first year 10 people were employed and at the turn of the century 30. The factory had four floors.

In 1899 trials began with automobiles, with Cunningham being the driving force. The first vehicle was sold to doctor WA Davis of Camden , New Jersey , that same year . Series production started in 1900. The brand name was Media . Motor vehicle production probably ended in the same year, although it cannot be ruled out that one or two vehicles will be built after that.

The company was probably dissolved in 1912.
