Wiemeyer was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

JL Wiemeyer headed the company based in St. Louis , Missouri . In 1900 he made some automobiles. The brand name was Wiemeyer .

He later ran a dealership selling vehicles from Apperson Brothers Automobile Company , Ford and Ames .

Wiemeyer manufactured many parts himself.

The first vehicle had a two - cylinder boxer engine . It drove the rear axle via a two-speed planetary gear and a chain. The structure was called a buggy.

The second vehicle had a three - cylinder two-stroke engine . The body offered space for four people.

This was followed by four more vehicles with a four-cylinder engine and various bodies.
