Christoph Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering (born June 9, 1652 at Vischering Castle ; † 1723 ) was official droste in the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar.

Life

Origin and family

As the son of the married couple Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering and Anna von Lülsdorff zum Haan, Christoph Heidenreich grew up with his three brothers in one of the oldest and most important Westphalian noble families . In his first marriage (1682) he was married to Klara Brigitta von Galen zu Assen, daughter of Johann Heinrich von Galen . The sons Maximilian Heidenreich , Adolf Heinrich * 1692, and the twins Heidenreich Matthias and Adolf Heidenreich , born in 1699, emerged from the marriage. In his second marriage (1702) he was married to Adelheid Magdalene Brigitta von Nagel zu Loburg.

Career

After Nesselrodes was ousted from office on November 3, 1667, Christoph Heidenreich received the cathedral praise in Münster and was presented for a cathedral canonical. He was also consecrated in Münster Cathedral and received the tonsure . In 1679 he resigned and married three years later. From 1669 to February 14, 1682 he was canon in Paderborn. In the years 1670 and 1671 he completed his studies at the University of Freiburg / Br. On January 16, 1679 he was appointed as the successor to his father to the Drost of the offices of Horstmar and Ahaus and remained in this office until his death. He was also the tribe and inheritance . On July 24, 1704, Prince-Bishop Friedrich Christian von Plettenberg granted him an entitlement to a church position for his eldest son Maximilian Heidenreich, canon of Paderborn.
