Heidenreich Matthias Droste zu Vischering (born December 13, 1699 in the moated Darfeld castle ; † December 24, 1739 in Osnabrück ) was Chapter Vicar and Privy Councilor.

Life

Origin and family

As the son of the married couple Christoph Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering and Klara Brigitta von Galen zu Assen, Heidenreich Matthias Droste zu Vischering came from one of the oldest and most important Westphalian noble families . His brother Maximilian Heidenreich (1684–1751) was an official and Privy Councilor, his twin brother Adolf Heidenreich canon in Münster .

Professional background

On March 31, 1714 Heidenreich Matthias received the tonsure with the ordination and studied from 1716 to 1721 at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome and then for three months in Siena. After his uncle Heidenreich Ludwig resigned himself in 1721 , he received the Dompräbende in Osnabrück through papal commission , where he was ordained a subdeacon on March 11, 1724. In 1728 he was Chapter Vicar during Sedisvakanz and on 20 September the following year Offizial . In 1735 Heidenreich Matthias moved to Bonn and became an Extra-Conferential Government Councilor. In 1736 he was awarded a cathedral praise in Münster because his predecessor had left office. Heidenreich Matthias was also employed as a chaplain in Hilter and Dissen.
