Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering (born June 25, 1616 in Ahaus ; † August 6, 1678 ibid) was official droste in the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar .

Life

Origin and family

Heidenreich zu Droste Vischering came from the Westphalian nobility of the Principality of Münster . The Droste zu Vischering family is one of the most important families in the Münsterland. His father Heidenreich (1580–1643) was a loyal supporter of the bishops Ernst of Bavaria and Ferdinand of Bavaria . His mother was Margaretha von Raesfeld zu Romberg (1595–1659). Heidenreich married Anna von Lülsdorff zum Haan (1626–1710), daughter of Ludwig von Lülsdorff zum Haan and Agnes von Quadt zum Buschfeld in 1650. The marriage resulted in four sons. Christoph was Erbdroste and Droste of the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar, Adolf Heidenreich cathedral cantor, Heidenreich Ludwig († 1723) archdeacon in Billerbeck and Jobst Gottfried († 1729) canon in Münster .

Career

Heidenreich completed his studies in Siena and entered the church service. From 1634 onwards it was owned by the cathedral priest . In 1637 he was emancipated as Canon and remained in office until his resignation in 1641. On March 19, 1641 he was assigned to his father in the Drostenamt and took over this office after his death in 1643. The cathedral chapter accepted the imperial baron diploma for Heidenreich and his family on November 30, 1674.
