Jobst Gottfried Adrian Droste zu Vischering (* around 1660 ; † May 2, 1729 ) was canon in Münster and archdeacon in Winterswijk.

Life

Origin and family

Jobst Gottfried Adrian Droste Vischering came from the Westphalian nobility of the Principality of Münster . The Droste zu Vischering family is one of the most important families in the Münsterland, from which numerous well-known personalities have emerged. He was the son of Landdrosten Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering and his wife Anna von Lülsdorff zum Haan (1626-1710), daughter of Ludwig von Lülsdorff zum Haan and Agnes von Quadt zum Buschfeld. His brother Christoph Heidenreich (1652–1723) was Erbdroste and Droste of the offices of Ahaus and Horstmar, Heidenreich Ludwig (+ March 23, 1723) cathedral scholaster in Münster and Adolf Heidenreich († September 14, 1724) cathedral choirmaster in Münster.

Act

In 1679 Jobst Gottfried came into the possession of a cathedral priest in Münster , as his brother Christoph Heidenreich renounced and later married. The revolt to the families Droste, Lülsdorf, Raesfeld and Quadt took place on January 23, 1680. He studied at the University of Paris and presented the rector's certificate on June 6, 1684. On December 6th, 1690 he took over the Oblegium Roxel and ten years later the Obedience Buldern. On April 27, 1687 he became archdeacon at Winterswijk. Jobst Gottfried was ordained a subdeacon . He also held the position of Cathedral Waitering Assessor. In 1697 he became provost in the provost church of St. Remigius Borken . He remained in this office until his death in 1729.
