Milhars ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it is assigned to the arrondissement of Albi and it is part of the canton of Carmaux-2 Vallée du Cérou ( Vaour until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Milharsois .

geography

Milhars is located about 44 kilometers east-northeast of Montauban . The Aveyron limits the municipality to the north. Milhars is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Varen in the north, Riols in the northeast, Saint-Martin-Laguépie in the east, Mouzieys-Panens in the southeast, Marnaves in the south, Roussayrolles in the southwest and Féneyrols and Montrosier in the west.
