Itzac ( Occitan : Itsac ) is a French commune with 152 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it is assigned to the arrondissement of Albi and it is part of the canton of Carmaux-2 Vallée du Cérou ( Vaour until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Itzacois .

geography

Itzac is about 40 kilometers east of Montauban . Itzac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tonnac in the north, Vindrac-Alayrac in the east and northeast, Loubers in the east, Alos in the southeast, Campagnac in the south and Vaour in the west and northwest.
