Labastide-de-Lévis ( Occitan : La Bastida de Lèvis ) is a French commune with 909 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Les Deux Rives (until 2015: Canton Gaillac ).
geography
Labastide-de-Lévis is located about 55 kilometers northeast of Toulouse and about nine kilometers west of Albi am Tarn , which forms the southern municipal boundary. Labastide-de-Lévis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fayssac in the north, Bernac in the north and north-east, Castelnau-de-Lévis in the east, Marssac-sur-Tarn in the south and south-east, Lagrave in the south and south-west, Rivières in the west and south-west as well Senouillac to the west and northwest.

The bastide was probably founded in the 1220s. It was founded at the time of the Albigensian Crusade.
