Jouqueviel ( Occitan : Jocavièlh ) is a French commune with 96 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Jouqueviel belongs to the arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Carmaux-1 Le Ségala (until 2015: canton of Pampelonne ).

geography

Jouqueviel is the northernmost municipality in the Tarn department. It is located about 28 kilometers north of Albi . The Viaur limits the municipality to the north. Jouqueviel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lescure-Jaoul in the north, La Salvetat-Peyralès in the east, Mirandol-Bourgnounac in the south and south-east, Montirat in the south and west and Bor-et-Bar in the north-west.
