The decline in the number of inhabitants in the late 19th and first half of the 20th century is mainly due to the mechanization of agriculture and the associated loss of jobs. The renewed increase at the beginning of the 21st century is due to the proximity to the city of Albi.
economy
The residents of the village traditionally lived as self-sufficient farmers from agriculture, which also included cattle breeding. Today, numerous residents of the village work in Albi and the surrounding area.
