Vaour ( Occitan : Vaur ) is a French commune with 317 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it is assigned to the arrondissement of Albi and it is part of the canton of Carmaux-2 Vallée du Cérou ( Vaour until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Vaourais .

Vaour is about 36 kilometers east-northeast of Montauban . Vaour is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the north and north-west, Saint-Michel-de-Vax in the north, Roussayrolles in the north-east, Tonnac in the east, Itzac in the east and south-east, Campagnac in the south-east, Saint-Beauzile in the South, Castelnau-de-Montmiral in the southwest and Penne in the west.
