Saint-Michel-de-Vax ( Occitan : Sent Miquèl de Baq ) is a French commune with 71 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it is assigned to the arrondissement of Albi and it is part of the canton of Carmaux-2 Vallée du Cérou ( Vaour until 2015 ).

Saint-Michel-de-Vax is about 38 kilometers northwest of Albi . Saint-Michel-de-Vax is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the north and west, Féneyrols in the north and east, Roussayrolles in the east and south-east and Vaour in the south.
