Aussac ( Occitan Auçac ) is a French commune with 263 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Aussac belongs to the Arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Les Deux Rives ( Cadalen until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Aussacois .

geography

Aussac is located about 49 kilometers northeast of Toulouse and about nine kilometers west-southwest of Albi . Aussac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Florentin in the north, Rouffiac in the east and northeast, Fénols in the south and east and Cadalen in the west.
