geography
The municipality is located in the Tarn department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Albi and the canton of Albi-3 . It is located about ten kilometers west of Albi on the Tarn River . Marssac-sur-Tarn is surrounded by Labastide-de-Lévis in the north and west, Castelnau-de-Lévis in the north and north-east, Terssac in the east, Albi in the south-east, Florentin in the south and Lagrave in the south-west.
