Brigitte Lesage (born June 18, 1964 in Mulhouse ) is a French volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career hall
Lesage started her career in her hometown at ASPTT Mulhouse in the early 1980s . However, she achieved her greatest successes at club level with Olimpia Teodora Ravenna . With the Italian club, she won the national championship four times in a row from 1986 to 1989. In 1987, he also won the Italian Cup. Lesage was also successful in the European Cup with Ravenna. In 1986 and 1987, the club reached the Champions League finals , which were lost to Russian clubs. In 1988 Ravenna then won the highest European Cup against defending champion VK Uralotschka-NTMK . A year later, the Italian club had to admit defeat to the Russians again. Later Lesage, who also played in the French national team, returned to Mühlhausen.
Career Beach
Lesage played her first international beach volleyball tournament in 1995 with Anabelle Prawerman . After the start in Hermosa Beach , Lesage / Prawerman reached 17th place in four open tournaments in a row before they achieved their best result on the World Tour with 13th place in Santos . They then took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta . There they first prevailed in a preliminary round against two teams from Mexico and Canada. In the first game of the main round they were defeated by the US duo McPeak / Reno ; then they were eliminated with another defeat against Nakano / Ishizaka and finished the tournament in 13th place.
Life after exercise
Lesage took part in the 1997 television show Fort Boyard . After a sabbatical year in 2001, she decided to start a second career in tourism and opened a hotel in Marssac-sur-Tarn .
