Holly McPeak (born May 15, 1969 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California ) is a former American beach volleyball player .

Career

Holly McPeak was one of the most successful beach volleyball players of all time in her 20-year career, despite her relatively small height. At the age of 18, she played her first tournament in Santa Monica in 1987 . In 1996 she finished fifth with Nancy Reno at the Atlanta Olympics . In 1997 she won the silver medal with Lisa Arce at the World Championships in Los Angeles . When she took part in the Olympic Games for the second time, she finished fifth again with Misty May-Treanor in Sydney in 2000 . With Elaine Youngs she reached fifth place at the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro in 2003 and, as the highlight of her career, the bronze medal at her third Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 . In 2009 she ended her career after 72 tournament victories, including 19 FIVB titles and 53 national titles.

In 2009 Holly McPeak was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame.
