Lisa Arce (born July 8, 1969 in Manhattan Beach ) is a former American beach volleyball player .

Career

Arce started playing volleyball at the University of California, Berkeley . From 1994 to 1996 she played her first international beach tournaments with Christine Schaefer . She then formed a new duo with Holly McPeak . Arce / McPeak won twice in Busan and won the Open tournament in Pescara . At the 1997 World Cup in Los Angeles they were only defeated by the Brazilians Sandra Pires and Jackie Silva in the final . The next World Cup tournament in Marseille , which Arce and her new partner Barbra Fontana finished in 17th place, was less successful . There was also a third place in Dalian 1999 and a second place in Espinho 2000.

The next year Arce played again with McPeak. The reunited duo finished fifth in several open tournaments and third in the Grand Slam in Marseille. At the World Championships in Klagenfurt , however, it was only enough to finish 17th. In 2003, Arce and Rachel Wacholder made it into the top ten in three Grand Slams.
