Rachel Wacholder , now Rachel Scott (born June 15, 1975 in Laguna Beach (California) ) is a former American beach volleyball player .

Career

Rachel Wacholder has been playing on the US AVP Tour since 1999 and on the FIVB World Tour internationally since 2001 . In 2003 she and Lisa Arce made it into the top ten at three Grand Slams. With Kerri Walsh , she achieved her only two FIVB tournament victories at the 2004 Grand Slams in Marseille and Klagenfurt . In 2005 and 2006, Elaine Youngs was her partner. Wacholder / Youngs reached seventh place at the World Championships in Berlin and had a very successful time with ten other top ten placements. Rachel Scott played her last two years in international tournaments with Tyra Turner in 2007 and 2008 . Scott / Turner also had consistently good placements with a ninth place at the World Championships in Gstaad and eleven FIVB Top Tens.

Private

Rachel Scott has been married to the US beach volleyball player Sean Scott since 2007 . They live in Redondo Beach and have had a son since 2009.
