Tyra Turner (* 21st July 1976 in Fort Myers Beach , Florida as Tyra Harper ) is an American beach volleyball player .
Career
Tyra Turner has been playing on the US AVP Tour since 2003 and internationally on the FIVB World Tour since 2005 . In 2007/2008 she made it into the top ten fourteen times with Rachel Scott and Nicole Branagh at the FIVB tournaments, including a ninth place at the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad . In 2009 and 2010 Tyra Turner played with Angela Akers . Akers / Turner achieved fifth place at the World Championships in Stavanger and consistently good placements with a further 17 FIVB Top Tens. In 2011 and 2012, Tyra Turner played mainly at national tournaments in the USA.
Private
Tyra Turner has been married to the US beach volleyball player Chad Turner since 2005 . They live alternately in Southern California and Florida.
