Nancy Reynolds (* 24. November 1970 as Nancy Mason in Belleville , Illinois ) is an American beach volleyball player .

Career

Reynolds played under her maiden name Mason from 1988 to 1991 indoor volleyball at Indiana University Bloomington . During her beach volleyball career from 1994 to 2009, she played with 41 different partners, but was never able to win a tournament either nationally or internationally. Reynolds took part in two world championships: 1999 in Marseille with Krista Blomquist and 2003 in Rio de Janeiro with Dianne DeNecochea , where she finished ninth. Further highlights were second places at national tournaments in 2000 in Hermosa Beach with Rachel Wacholder , in 2003 in San Diego with Dianne DeNecochea and in 2006 in Fort Lauderdale and Tempe with Jennifer Kessy and Manhattan Beach with Elaine Youngs . In 2003 Reynolds was "Most Improved Player" on the US AVP tour . On the FIVB World Tour , Reynolds was third at the Fortaleza Open with Leanne McSorley in 2000 , third at the Milan Open with Dianne DeNecochea in 2003 , fourth at the Grand Slam in Marseille with Carrie Dodd in 2004 and fourth at the Acapulco Open with Jennifer in 2005 Kessy her greatest successes.
