Hermosa Beach |
Hermosa Beach is a city in Los Angeles County in the US state of California , United States, with 19,600 inhabitants (as of 2004) and a size of 15.3 km². Hermosa Beach, along with the neighboring cities of Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, is one of the three so-called Beach Cities in the catchment area of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
It is best known for the Lighthouse Cafe jazz club , which had its peak in the 1950s but continues to exist. In addition, the original line-ups of the punk bands Pennywise and Black Flag come from Hermosa Beach.
