Ruth Keao Anuenue Burdine (born January 2, 1983 in Long Beach , California ) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Burdine comes from a volleyball family where both her parents and siblings played the sport. She started her career at La Habra High School. From 2001 to 2004 she studied at the University of Southern California , where she played on the university team with which she won the NCAA championship in 2002 and 2003 . In 2005 the junior national player went to Puerto Rico to Indias de Mayagüez . In 2007 she moved to Türk Telekomspor in Ankara and the next season she also played in Turkey for Galatasaray Istanbul . Then the external attacker returned to Mayagüez. In 2011 she took part in the Pan American Games with the US national team. Burdine moved to Russia, where she first worked for Tyumen VC and then for Chara Morin in Ulan-Ude . She then played for Béziers volley. With HPK Naiset from Hämeenlinna , she became Finnish champion in 2016. Then she was committed by the German Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg . After the 2016/17 season, she left the club.

Burdine reached fifth place with Christine Zartman at the U21 World Cup in Catania in 2002 . In 2003 she appeared in San Diego with Natasha Nguyen for the first time at a tournament on the AVP Tour . The following year she completed two tournaments with Claire D'Amore . In 2005 she had changing partners. At the side of April Ross , she achieved two ninth places in Sacramento and Seaside Heights in the next AVP season . In 2007 Burdine played first with Nancy Reynolds and then with Brittany Hochevar , with whom she finished fifth in Mason . With Hochevar, she completed the first tournaments in 2008 before she formed a new duo with Jennifer Snyder ; three ninth places were her best results this year. In 2009 she appeared again in various formations and was ninth twice. In 2010 she achieved this result with Jennifer Fopma in Hermosa Beach . In 2014 Burdine returned to the AVP Tour alongside Kaui Salzman .
