Sean Scott (born June 29, 1973 in Kailua (Hawaii) , USA ) is an American beach volleyball player .
Career
Sean Scott began playing beach volleyball in 1989 when he was fifteen. He has played on the US AVP Tour since 1997 and internationally on the FIVB World Tour since 2001 . At the side of Stein Metzger , he played his first AVP tournament in Phoenix in 1997 . The following four years Scott had various playing partners, before he played an FIVB tournament in Vitória for the first time with Todd Rogers in 2001 and was ninth. Rogers / Scott only reached 33rd place at the 2003 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro , but were able to win four AVP tournaments in 2004/2005 and had numerous top ten placements on the FIVB World Tour. In 2006 Scott played with Dax Holdren and in 2007 with Kevin Wong . With Matthew Fuerbringer , Scott landed 17th at the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad . In 2008 Nicholas Lucena was his partner. Since 2009 Sean Scott has played with John Hyden almost exclusively in the USA at national tournaments.
Private
Sean Scott has been married to the American beach volleyball player Rachel Wacholder since 2007 . They have had a son since 2009.
