The French national women's volleyball team is a selection of the best French female players who represent the Fédération Française de Volley-Ball in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World championships

At the premiere of the volleyball world championship in 1952, the French women finished seventh. Four years later they reached twelfth place in their own country. In 1974 it was only 20 th place.

Olympic games

France has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

European championships

The French women finished fifth in the first European volleyball championship in 1949. Two years later, they finished fourth as hosts. Then it went over the ninth place in 1958 down to 13th place at the EM in 1971. At the 1979 tournament, the French women were eleventh. In the years 1983 to 1991 they ranged between seventh and tenth place. In 2001 and 2007 they finished eighth.

World cup

The World Cup has so far taken place without French participation.

World Grand Prix

France has not played in the World Grand Prix either.
