The Georgian national volleyball team is a selection of the best Georgian women players who represent the Georgian volleyball association in international tournaments and matches.
history
Georgian teams have been participating in international competitions since independence in 1991. Before that, the volleyball players were part of the Soviet national team .
World championships
Georgia has never qualified for a volleyball world championship. Most recently, the team remained without a win in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup .
Olympic games
Georgia has never participated in an Olympic volleyball tournament.
European championships
At the 2017 European Championships , Georgia will host Azerbaijan as well. This is the first time that Georgian women will take part in a European Championship finals.
World cup
On Volleyball World Cup , Georgia was not previously involved.
World Grand Prix
The Volleyball World Grand Prix has also taken place without Georgia so far.
European League
Georgia took part in this competition for the first time at the 2015 Europa League . In the preliminary round, the team finished sixth and last without a win. Georgia is back in 2017 and hosted the first round of the tournament in Tbilisi , but did not win any points.
