The Turkish national volleyball team for men is a selection of the best Turkish players that Türkiye Voleybol Federasyonu represents at international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

In 1966, the Turks took part in a volleyball world championship for the first time and took fifteenth place. They finished the 1998 World Cup in 19th place.

Olympic games

Turkey has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

European Championship

The Turks finished twelfth when they first took part in a European volleyball championship . In 1963 they improved by one rank. Four years later, despite the home advantage, it was only enough for fourteenth place. In 1971, Turkey ranked fifteenth. The same result was achieved at the 2007 European Championship .

World cup

The World Cup has so far taken place without Turkish participation.

World league

Turkey played in the world league for the first time in 2015 , finished second in Group A of Division III and narrowly missed the final round.

European League

The Turks have so far been involved in all tournaments of the Europa League . After finishing fifth in 2004 , they reached the Final Four for the first time in 2005 . In 2006 they hosted this finals, but did not get past fourth place. In 2007 they finished fifth again. At the Final Four 2008 they reached third place as hosts. In 2012 they achieved their best result so far with second place.
