The Serbian-Montenegrin men's national volleyball team was a selection of the best Serbian-Montenegrin female players who represented the national volleyball federation at international tournaments and internationals. From 1993 to 2003 she played for the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and from 2003 and 2006 for Serbia and Montenegro . She became vice world champion, Olympic champion and European champion. She was the successor to the Yugoslav national team . The Serbian national team and the Montenegrin national team have been playing since 2006, and the Kosovar national team since 2016 .

World championships

At the 1998 World Cup, BR Yugoslavia was only defeated in the final against Italy . At the 2002 tournament she missed another medal with a loss in the game for third place against France . Serbia and Montenegro also came fourth at the 2006 World Cup , in the bronze match against Bulgaria .

Olympic games

At the 1996 Olympic Games , BR Yugoslavia won the bronze medal by beating Russia . In 2000 in Sydney she prevailed against the same opponent in the final and became Olympic champion. In 2004 in Athens , Serbia-Montenegro was eliminated in the quarter-finals against the Russians.

European championships

At the European Championships in 1995 , the FR of Yugoslavia was third with a win against Bulgaria. In 1997 she only had to admit defeat in the final against the Netherlands . Two years later she won the game for third place again, this time against the Czech Republic . At the 2001 tournament she was European champion with a final victory against Italy. The successor Serbia-Montenegro lost the bronze game against Russia in 2003 . As a co-host, the team finished third in the 2005 European Championship with a win against Spain .

In the world league , the FR Yugoslavia was seventh in 1997 and sixth the following year. It came in fourth in 2000 and 2001, before moving up to third in 2002. In 2003 Serbia-Montenegro lost the final against Brazil . After a third place in 2004 there was another defeat in the final against Brazil a year later. In 2006 Serbia-Montenegro finished fifth.
