The Azerbaijani national women's volleyball team is a selection of the best Azerbaijani women who represent Azərbaycan Voleybol Federasiyası at international tournaments and internationals. The team was formed in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union .
history
World Championship
In their first participation in a volleyball world championship , Azerbaijani women finished ninth. They finished the 2006 World Cup in 13th place.
Olympic games
Azerbaijan has never qualified for the Olympic Games.
European Championship
Azerbaijan celebrated its greatest success in fourth place at the 2005 European Championships . Two years later it was only twelfth at the 2007 European Championship .
World cup
The World Cup has so far taken place without Azerbaijani participation.
World Grand Prix
At the Volleyball World Grand Prix 2006 Azerbaijan finished tenth.
