European Women's Volleyball Championship 2005

The 2005 European Women's Volleyball Championship took place from September 17th to 25th, 2005 in Croatia . Poland defended its title and became European champions for the second time. The German team was eliminated as the bottom of the group and thus achieved the worst result for a German women's national team since the European Championship in 1963.

The tournament began with a preliminary round in two groups of six teams each. The best four teams in each group reached the placement games.

Germany played with Andrea Berg , Regina Burchardt , Cornelia Dumler , Christiane Fürst , Angelina Grün , Nadja Jenzewski , Olessya Kulakova , Jana Müller , Kathy Radzuweit , Dominice Steffen , Julia Schlecht and Kerstin Tzscherlich . The coach was Lee Hee-wan .
