European men's volleyball championship 1948

The 1948 European men's volleyball championship took place in Rome from September 24th to 26th . Six teams were involved in the premiere of this competition. The German team was not one of them. The Czechoslovakia was without dropping a set the first European champion.

The six participants were grouped together and played “everyone against everyone”. The team that finished first in the table was the winner of the tournament.
