Lothar Rettelsky

Lothar Hermann Albert Rettelsky , from 1941 with the surname Rethel, (born March 3, 1895 in Zugdam , † 1981 in Freudenstadt ) was a German farmer, SS leader and politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Rettelsky, a farmer by profession, took part in the First World War as a soldier . In November 1930 he joined the NSDAP and was active in the party as a local group leader and district adviser. At the beginning of July 1933 he became the regional farmer's leader in Danzig and, from the beginning of November 1934, he was also the district manager in the district office for agricultural policy. In the Free City of Danzig , Rettelsky was part-time Senator for Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Affairs in the Senate Greiser from late November 1934 to early September 1939 .

After the attack on Poland in September 1939 and the illegal incorporation of Danzig into the German Reich , Rettelsky was appointed head of the Agriculture, Settlement, Reallocation and Water Management Department at the Reich Governor and State Farmers Leader in the Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia. Also in 1939 he became a member of the German Reich Farmers Council.

Rettelsky entered the National Socialist Reichstag on July 7, 1940 , in which he represented the Danzig-West Prussia district until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945.

In the SS Rettelsky achieved the rank of SS-Oberführer .
