Kerstin Tzscherlich (born February 15, 1978 in Freital ) is a former German national volleyball player .

Career

Kerstin Tzscherlich played for Dresdner SC from 1990 to 2013 . The multiple youth champion won the double with the Saxons in 1999 - the championship in the Bundesliga and the cup victory . A year earlier she made her debut in the senior national team and took part in the World Cup in Japan . With the DVV selection she reached fourth place at the European Championships in 1999 and took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney . In 2002 she and her club won the DVV Cup again . At the subsequent World Cup in their own country, however, it was not so successful.

Libera celebrated a great success with the DVV selection with third place at the EM 2003 . At the Olympic Games in Athens and the European Championships in Croatia , the experienced volleyball player experienced two more tournaments in the following years. According to official statistics, she was the second best Libera of the tournament at the 2006 World Cup ; nevertheless, the team only reached eleventh place. In summer 2007 she won the European Grand Prix qualification with the team and finished sixth at the European Championships in Belgium and Luxembourg .

In 2007 Kerstin Tzscherlich was again German champion with Dresden SC and 2010 DVV cup winner . She was also successful with the national team: she finished fourth at the 2009 European Championships and even won the silver medal at the 2011 European Championships . After missing the qualification for the Olympic Games in London 2012 , Kerstin Tzscherlich ended her national team career with 373 appearances. In 2013 she also ended her career at Dresdner SC.

Tzscherlich has been active at the Saxon regional division SG Mauersberg since 2017 .
