Dorota Swieniewicz (born Dorota Reczko; born July 27, 1972 in Gluszyca , German Wüstegiersdorf) is a Polish volleyball player and former national player.

In 1998 Swieniewicz went from BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała, with whom she was Polish champion, to Italy and stayed there with the Despar Perugia club for eight seasons until 2005/06. During this time she won with him, u. a. as team captain, all important national titles (championship 2003, 2005; cup 2003, 2005, 2006), as well as the Champions League 2006. She also achieved great success with the national team when she won the European Championship in Turkey in 2003 and the 2005 title in Croatia defended. The now 33-year-old was chosen as the most valuable player and in the same year was named the best player in Europe by the CEV. She interrupted her career in 2006/07 to become a mother and returned to Italy (this time Santeramo) for the 2008/09 season after a season in Icaro, Spain. For the Olympic Games in 2008, for which Poland qualified, she was no longer nominated. She ended her national team career with almost 300 internationals.

The outside / acceptance player makes up for her relatively small size of 1.80 m with her enormous jumping ability and sophisticated technique.
