The Swedish national volleyball team is a selection of the best Swedish players who represent Svenska Volleybollförbundet in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

Sweden participated in a volleyball world championship for the first time in 1990 and finished tenth. Four years later, the Swedes took 13th place. After that, they could no longer qualify.

Olympic games

The only Olympic tournament with Swedish participation was in Seoul in 1988 . Sweden reached seventh place.

European Championship

In the first two participations in a European volleyball championship , the Swedes in 1967 and 1971 did not get past places 16 and 17. In 1985 they came back in ninth place and two years later in fourth place they were already close to medal ranks. In 1989 in their own country they finally reached the final against Italy. Then there were two ninth places.

World cup

The World Cup has so far taken place without Sweden.

World league

Sweden did not play in the world league either.

European League

Sweden has not been represented in the Europa League either.
