The Czech men's national volleyball team is a selection of the best Czech players who represent the Czech Federation (Český Volejbalový Svaz) at international tournaments and internationals. The team was formed in 1993 after the break-up of Czechoslovakia ( see also the Czechoslovak team ).

history

World championships

In 1994 the Czechs were absent from the World Cup. In 1998 they came in 21st and in 2002 on 13th place. At the 2006 World Cup, they were eliminated in the second round. In 2010 they finished 10th and in 2014 they did not qualify.

Olympic games

Not yet qualified.

European championships

In 1995 the Czechs finished ninth and in 1997 sixth. In 1999 and 2001 it was enough for fourth place. But in 2003 the Czech Republic was eliminated after the preliminary round as in 2005 . For the 2007 the Czech Republic could not qualify. In 2009, 2011 and 2013 they qualified, but were eliminated from the start.

World league

In 2003 the Czech Republic played in the world league for the only time so far and finished in fourth place.

European League

The first Final Four of the European League took place in 2004 in the Czech Republic and the host won the title. In 2005 and 2007 it was only seventh and ninth.
