Stewart Bernard

Stewart Bernard (born June 15, 1965 in Bandung , Indonesia ) is a Dutch volleyball coach.

Career

From 1986 to 1997, Stewart Bernard was national coach of the youth and junior teams in his home country, the Netherlands, and since 1995 he has also been a coach in the Dutch first division. From 1998 to 2000 he coached the Tunisian men's national team . From 2006 to 2008 he was assistant coach of the German men's national team . Stewart Bernard coached Germany's youth national team from 2003 to 2011.

After the poor performance of the German team at the volleyball EM 2011 (15th place), the DVV management decided shortly before the pre-qualification tournament for the 2012 Olympic Games in Tourcoing to part with national coach Raúl Lozano and temporarily replace the team with Stewart Bernard, To have assistant coach Ralph Bergmann and the injured national player Stefan Huebner looked after.

Stewart Bernard has been the coach of the Czech national team since 2012 .
