The Slovak men's national volleyball team is a selection of the players that Slovenská Volejbalová Federácia represents in international tournaments and internationals. The team was formed in 1993 after the break-up of Czechoslovakia ( see also the Czechoslovak team ).

World Championship

Slovakia has never participated in a volleyball world championship.

Olympic games

Slovakia has not yet qualified for the Olympic Games.

European Championship

When they first participated in a European volleyball championship , the Slovaks achieved their best result in eighth place. In 2001 and 2003, they finished ninth and eleven. At the EM 2007 it was only enough to rank twelfth.

World cup

Slovakia has not yet played in the World Cup .

World league

The world league has also taken place without Slovak participation so far.

European League

At the premiere of the European league in 2004 , the Slovaks finished eighth. After finishing sixth ( 2005 ) and seven ( 2006 ), they reached the Final Four for the first time in 2007 and finished third. They won the 2008 competition in the final against the Netherlands .
