The Belgian national volleyball team for women is a selection of the best Belgian women players, who represent the Fédération Royale Belge de Volleyball in international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

At the volleyball world championship in 1956, Belgium finished 13th. In 1978 it was only 22nd place. In 2014, Belgium achieved the best placement in eleventh place.

Olympic games

Belgium has never qualified for the Olympic Games.

European Championship

The first appearance at a European volleyball championship ended in 1967 in 14th place. In the tournaments in 1975 and 1979, the Belgians were each twelfth. The same result happened in 1987 in their own country. Twenty years later, the Belgian women - again in their own country - finished seventh at the 2007 European Championship . They achieved their best result in 2013 with a third place in Germany and Switzerland.

World cup

The World Cup has so far taken place without Belgium.

World Grand Prix

In 2014 Belgium's first participation in the World Grand Prix achieved sixth place.

European League

Belgium took part in the Europa League in 2013 and finished second.
