The Portuguese national women's volleyball team is a selection of the best Portuguese players who represent the Portuguese volleyball association Federação Portuguesa de Voleibol (FPV) at international tournaments and internationals.
history
World championships
Portugal has never qualified for a volleyball world championship. In qualifying for the 2018 World Cup , the team won three games, but missed the next round as third in the group.
Olympic games
Portugal has never participated in an Olympic volleyball tournament.
European championships
Portugal has not yet participated in a European Championship . In qualifying for the 2017 European Championship , two victories in the second round were not enough to advance.
World cup
On Volleyball World Cup , Portugal was not previously involved.
World Grand Prix
The Volleyball World Grand Prix has also taken place without Portugal so far.
European League
Portugal will take part in this competition for the first time at the 2017 Europaliga . In the preliminary round, the team hosted the tournament in Matosinhos , but missed the qualification for the semi-finals.
