Coufouleux (sometimes also: Couffouleux ; Occitan : Confolèuç ) is a French commune in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region with 2,874 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). It is located in the arrondissement of Albi and is part of the canton of Les Portes du Tarn (until 2015: canton of Rabastens ). The inhabitants are called Couffoulésien (ne) s .

Coufouleux lies on the Tarn between Toulouse and Albi . The agout limits the community in the south. Coufouleux is surrounded by the neighboring communities Rabastens in the north and west, Loupiac in the east and northeast, Parisot in the east and southeast, Giroussens in the south and southeast and Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe in the south and southwest.

The A68 autoroute runs through the municipality . The municipality's train station ( Rabastens-Coufouleux ) is on the Brive – Toulouse railway line .

Coufouleux belongs to the Gaillac wine region .
