Le Riols ( Occitan : Lo Riòl ) is a French commune with 103 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Administratively it is assigned to the arrondissement of Albi and it is part of the canton of Carmaux-2 Vallée du Cérou ( Vaour until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Riolais . In 2016, the unemployment rate in Le Riols was 20.5%.

geography

Le Riols is located about 47 kilometers east-northeast of Montauban . The Aveyron limits the municipality to the north and west. Le Riols is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Varen in the north and west, Laguépie in the east and northeast, Saint-Martin-Laguépie in the south and east and Milhars in the west and northwest.
