Laguépie ( Occitan : La Guépia ) is a French commune with 608 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Laguépie belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and the canton of Quercy-Rouergue (until 2015: canton of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val ). The inhabitants are called Guépiens .

geography

Laguépie is the easternmost commune of the Tarn-et-Garonne department. It is located about 48 kilometers east-northeast of the city center of Montauban on the Aveyron , where the Viaur flows into. Laguépie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Najac in the north, Saint-André-de-Najac in the east, Saint-Martin-Laguépie in the south, Le Riols in the southwest and Varen in the west and southwest.
