Espinas ( Occitan : Espinàs ) is a French commune with 174 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton of Quercy-Rouergue (until 2015: canton of Caylus ). The inhabitants are called Espinasais .

Geographical location

Espinas is located about 43 kilometers east-northeast of the city center of Montauban . Espinas is surrounded by the neighboring communities Caylus in the north and west, Ginals in the east and northeast, Verfeil in the east and southeast, Féneyrols in the south and southeast and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south and southwest.
