Dieupentale ( Occitan : Diupentala ) is a French commune with 1,700 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton Verdun-sur-Garonne (until 2015: canton Grisolles ). The inhabitants are called Dieupentalais .

geography

Dieupentale is located about 18 kilometers south-southwest of Montauban on the Canal des Deux Mers . Dieupentale is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bessens in the north, Campsas in the northeast, Canals in the east and southeast, Grisolles in the south and Verdun-sur-Garonne in the west.

The former Route nationale 123 runs through the municipality . The municipality's train station is on the Bordeaux – Sète railway line .
