geography

Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont is about nine kilometers northeast of the center of Montauban on the plain between the smaller rivers Tordre and Tauge , which drain into the Aveyron . Saint-Étienne-de-Tulmont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Albias in the north, Nègrepelisse in the east and north-east, Vaïssac in the south-east, Génébrières in the south, Léojac in the south and south-west and Montauban in the west and south-west.

history

The area was densely forested. The Forêt de Tulmonenc extended to the Aveyron. In 1150 the place was founded by the Lords of Bruniquel .
