Monbéqui ( Occitan : Montbequin ) is a French commune with 634 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton of Montech (until 2015: canton of Grisolles ). The inhabitants are called Montbéquinois .

geography

Monbéqui is located about 16 kilometers south-southwest of Montauban on the Garonne , which borders the municipality to the west. Monbéqui is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Finhan in the north, Montbartier in the northeast, Bessens in the east and southeast, Verdun-sur-Garonne in the south and Mas-de-Grenier in the west.
