Monclar-de-Quercy is a southern French municipality with 1993 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitania region . Monclar-de-Quercy belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and the canton of Tarn-Tescou-Quercy vert (until 2015: canton of Monclar-de-Quercy ). The inhabitants are called Monclarais .

Monclar-de-Quercy is located about 19 kilometers east-southeast of Montauban in the Quercy . The Lac de Raby lies in the municipal area and the Tescounet River runs along the southern municipal boundary . Monclar-de-Quercy is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vaïssac in the north, Puygaillard-de-Quercy in the north-east, Puycelsi in the east, La Sauzière-Saint-Jean in the east and south-east, Montdurausse in the south, La Salvetat-Belmontet in the west and south-west as well Génébrières to the west and north-west.
