Montbeton is a French commune with 4279 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montauban and is part of the canton of Montech . The inhabitants are called Montbetonnais (es) .
geography
Montbeton lies on the plain between the Tarn River and the Canal de Montech . Montbeton is surrounded by the neighboring communities Albefeuille-Lagarde in the north, Montauban in the east, Lacourt-Saint-Pierre in the south, Escatalens in the west and southwest and La Ville-Dieu-du-Temple in the northwest.
The former route nationale 658 (today's Départementstraße 958) runs through the municipality .
